Web 2.0 Hates the Letter “E”
The letter “e” is the 5th letter of the English alphabet, the third tone of a C-major scale, and used as slang for a euphoric party drug. With all that “e” has achieved, what does Web 2.0 have against it? Why is the most commonly used letter in the alphabet being shunned? What the HELL am I talking about?!
flickr. frappr. cork’d! That’s what! All these websites have chosen to leave “e” out of their glorious URI spotlight. If you ask me, this is completely absurd. Without the letter “e” we wouldn’t have telephones, the internet or even ICECREAM!
I call all you netizens to arms! You must help stop Web 2.0’s discrimination of this gentle letter. The letter “e” is our friend, we must not forget this!

This is clearly just another misstep in America’s crooked war on drugs.

Wanna hug?
My guess is that the domain name was already taken for what they wanted to call their service/site so they just drop the vowel to get a short URL.
Web 2.0 at it’s finest…
Eeeeeep. What would we vr do without the lttr ?
no idea.
Isn’t it obvious that this is a result of regular “with E” domain names’ already being taken?
Isn’t it obvious that this was a JOKE?
isn’t it obvious that some people are MORONS? LOVE!
it reminds me of when “z” replaced “s.” you know, like in “boyz.”
i’m inclined to agree that it was a decision directly affected by availability, but i’m sure people think it’s a cool, attention-getting variation. like “punk’d.”
it’s all lame and i agree that we should abstain.

I would rather have them iDrop letters than iAdd them.
